Recommended; Cotton Glove, Hair Dryer.
Each order comes with a "Mulligan" it is a teaching wrap that lets you get comforatble learning how to put it on and take it off.
Thoroughly wash & dry your hands.
Choose the club of your choice, Driver, Putter, Irons or Wedges. One size fits all
Open the box and choose your wrap
Roll the grip back about 2-3cm - this will help greatly with the install process.
Lay the club down on-top of the wrap using the head as a weight to keep it from sliding around
Align the thicker side of the wrap with the area under the rolled back grip
Using your pen mark the thinner side of your wrap to your desired length and make the cut (nice and straight as this will be visible)
Flip the club around so the club face is up
(OPTIONAL BUT RECCOMENDED)
This will make the install process easier & more forgiving.
Peel back the wrap (wholly or partially - up to you)
Align the wrap with the ferrul (as straight as you can) and press down firmly to anchor
Line up the rest of the wrap with the club shaft and run your finger from the bottom to the top.
Using your index finger proceed to follow & press the wrap around, pressing lightly as you gradually slide up and down the club shaft. Spin the club as you go and be patient. Centimeter by Centimeter.
On the last swipe, make sure the material is completely down so there are no air bubbles present before continuing on with the Side 2.
Before starting on side 2, pull the wrap lightly so it's taught.
Flip the club to make it easier and start again, the same as you did Side 1. Side 2.
Make sure the material is completely down & press down firmly to finish.
Roll the grip back down and check your work.
If any air bubbles are present, heat the wrap with a hair dryer and firmly press them out.
PRO TIPS
Tip; Use a clean microfibre for the final wipe down, being sure to switch out cloths if they get too dirty.
Tip; For narrow shafts, measure from the narrow end of the skin and trim the wider part, for wider shafts measure from the wide end of the skin and cut the narrow part. TO BE SAFE, ASSUME YOUR SHAFT IS WIDE!
Tip; Make sure that the final lip of the first side has been firmly pressed down before starting on the other side.
Tip; Give the wrap a final wipe down with a clean microfibre cloth and rubbing alcohol to remove any oily residue from your hands.
If you find a bubble or a crease in your wrap you haven't quite mastered it yet, but never mind! A bit of heat and pressure will get that right out.
