People new to wraps sometimes ask if they're like grip tape. They're not — they live in different parts of the club and do different jobs.
Grip tape: under the grip
Grip tape is the double-sided adhesive that sits under your rubber grip to hold it on. You never see it. Its only job is installation.
Wraps: on the shaft, on show
